Making a sick day better

Full disclosure, I am an employee at Central Ohio Primary Care and I maintain the COPC social media pages. I am also a patient and would like to thank the staff at Family Practice Center of Westerville as well as the SameDay Center for taking care of me today.
This morning, I had symptoms of an upper respiratory infection so I called my doctor. Unfortunately my physician was not in the office today and the other physicians were booked solid. Fortunately, I had options and within seconds the front desk staff booked an appointment for me at the SameDay Center.
I had never used the SameDay Center but knew it was something like an urgent care but better because I would be seen by one of our physicians and there wouldn’t be a long wait. When I arrived at the SameDay Center I was greeted by the friendly front desk staff, where they promptly took my information and copay. I was pleased to find that I was charged for a primary care physician copay and not an urgent care copay which would have been significantly more.
I was promptly escorted to an exam room by a friendly nurse practitioner and was asked preliminary questions.
I was then seen by Dr. Greiwe, she was thorough and went above and beyond to explain the diagnosis and the recommended medication. It was not an in and out five minute ordeal like an urgent care. Dr. Greiwe made sure I understood everything before leaving. It was a pleasant experience. The overall handle of care made a sick day, a better day.
